2014 Clothing Order
I have been working with Mike Son to get our 2014 club clothing designed and will shortly be working with the Voler Design people on the final stages…
As I have stated in the past, since 2010, our goal has been to have clothing from different years be “compatible” so that when different kits are worn on our club rides we still all look like we come from Canyon Velo… Yet we also want each year’s clothing to be “different”, just not “uncompatible” with other years visually… I have shared our preliminary design for this year with the CV Board and gotten very favorable responses… so I think it will meet the compatibility standard but also be “different enough” as well …
The tentative clothing order schedule is as follow:
Wednesday Oct 2nd … Clothing Link Opens
Monday Oct. 21st … Clothing Link Closes
Early December… The Clothing Items will be shipped to me and be available for distribution immediately

Sherri Norton Remembrance Ride
Scheduled for Sat. November 16th
Sherri was Canyon Velo Member, a great cyclist, and respected member of the Orange County Cycling community … Unfortunately, two years ago she was killed in a bicycle/auto accident on Santiago Canyon Road… She was a dear friend to many of us in Canyon Velo and we want to continue the Annual Remembrance Ride … the beginning miles of the Saturday Club ride will be dedicated to this purpose… we hope all Canyon Members and other interested riders will participate… (Details to Follow)

Remember that we have an Event Reimbursement Policy and there is still time to utilize it if you have participated in events this year through into December… It is can now be viewed under the Members Section button on the website…

Roger Millikan Memorial Criterium
Sunday February 9th or 16th 2014
As you may or may not know Canyon Velo has assumed primary promotion responsibility for this long time event… This event provides a significant amount of revenue for Canyon Velo… Details will follow as we get closer but Canyon Velo Members will be called upon to volunteer for a role in putting this race on… it normally is scheduled for the middle of February so please keep those Sundays as open as possible… We will begin the planning process for the race in the next couple of weeks and update you with details as we have them… thank you for your help in advance…
